Parent-infant Relationship Specialist

Are you passionate about supporting the vital bond between parents and babies? Nurture Families is seeking an experienced and caring perinatal professional to join our team providing specialist parent-infant relationship services.

In this multifaceted role, you will work directly with parents and families across multimodalities, including providing individualised antenatal education, group perinatal and infant mental health sessions, as well as home visits. A key focus will be delivering support to strengthen the parent-child attachment and identify / address any bonding or attachment difficulties.

You will work with expectant parents, and families with children under the age of 2. Your specialist focus will be on the antenatal and postpartum period.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in midwifery / public health nursing (health visitor). Experience providing antenatal / postnatal services and evidence-based intervention is essential. Exceptional interpersonal skill to build trust with families is essential. Ideally, you will have received specialised training in infant mental health and attachment theory. If not, training will be provided as part of induction.

This is a 12-month contract, 6 hours per week (with potential to increase to up to 14 hours per week).
