Nurture Families is excited to announce the launch of their new Autumn campaign, "Lift a Parent, Raise a Child." This community-driven campaign aims to empower families with young children by strengthening parent-child relationships and expanding access to high-quality early childhood education.
"There is so much for parents to think about in the model world," said Hannah Reeve, CEO of Nurture Families. "It can be overwhelming. Our hope with “Lift a Parent, Raise a Child”, is to provide meaningful support for families that empowers them for years to come.”
The "Lift a Parent, Raise a Child" campaign includes programmes that will provide parents with counselling, support groups, quality early education and care for their children, and other resources. Donations will also help Nurture Families support children in need through provision of baby supplies and fully funded early childhood education and care places.
In addition to financial support, Nurture Families is seeking volunteers to help with providing direct service to families, such as leading parent education workshops, providing Ofsted registered early education and care, assisting with community outreach, and more. Community partners are also invited to collaborate by hosting drives for baby supplies, using Nurture Families’ space for parent support groups, and helping spread the word about the importance of early childhood development.
"It takes a village to raise a child. That's why we need the entire community to get involved with lifting up parents," said Sue, a retired health visitor working with Nurture Families. "Together, we can ensure that all children in our community have a trusted and nurturing adult to support them to live a happy, healthy and prosperous life."
